HARRIS: David Sheldon Harris of Forrest, Manitoba beloved husband of Charlene and father of Marsha and Angela passed away suddenly Friday, March 25, 2011. David was born at Crystal City, Manitoba on June 8, 1961. He grew up on the family farm in Cartwright, Manitoba while attending Cartwright Elementery and High School. While growing up, he enjoyed playing hockey, baseball, and hunting and fishing David took great pride in his current career as a heavy equipment operator for Tri-Wave Construction. Presently David resided North of Forrest, in the Glanton Community. David was an avid Wheat King fan attending all home games. He followed NHL hockey, especially the Black Hawks. Recently, David took up curling again and enjoyed re-learning the game. David was predeceased by his mother, Lena Harris; brother-in-law Randy Helps. He is survived by his wife Charlene (nee Stevens) Harris; daughters Marsha Harris (Jason McCullough) and Angela (Trevor) Wood; father John Harris (Olive); siblings: Daryl (Pam) Harris, Shauna Helps, Starla (Allan) Nelson, and Ladon (Mat) Klywak and their families. David is also survived by his mother and father-in-law Marlene and Charlie Stevens; in-laws: Frank (Sharon) Stevens, Anne (Dori) Gudnason and their families. A time of visitation will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Tuesday (this evening), March 29, 2011 between 7:00 and 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at Central United Church, 327- 8thStreet on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Rev. Barb Jardine will officiate. Honorary Bearers are Don Cloet (close deceased friend), and Tri-Wave Construction Management and Staff. Pallbearers are Morley Burns, Jim Welsh, Trevor Wood, Daryl Harris, Frank Stevens, and Dori Gudnason. Flowers gratefully declined.
