KAMAROUS: Doreen Clara Kamarous passed away Thursday, March 28, 2011 at the age of 72 surrounded by her families love. Doreen was born May 6, 1938 in Killarney, Manitoba and spent her early years growing up on the farm. She loved animals, the outdoors and was very active when she was young. Doreen was an avid horse woman and could be found on her favourite horse "Red" whenever she could get away from her chores. At the age of 17 she moved into town with her sister Leona and some girl friends and worked as a nurses aide in Killarney Hospital. A few years later she met, fell in love and married Dad (Victor Kamarous) on June 14, 1958. They moved to Brandon, MB where they lived most of their almost 53 years together working and raising 5 children. Mom loved photography, collecting things and her family which was evident to anyone that walked into her house as she had a large collection of pictures of family adorning every inch of wall space. Doreen was a strong courageouswoman who braved many obstacles and health issues throughout her life, but never let them hinder her from living life to the fullest. Mom was selfless and lived each day putting others before herself and strived to ensure that "Love and Happiness" was felt by all. This amazing woman, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend will be dearly missed but will "Forever Live in Our Hearts" ... Doreen was predeceased by her Mom and Dad: John and Della McInnes. She is survived by her husband Victor; her children: Debbie Scott (Tony), Pam Brown, Richard (Kathryn), Todd (Brenda) Lana Kamarous-Munro (Michael); her grandchildren: Jenna and Jesse Brown, Keanna and Aidan Kamarous, Tess and Taya Munro, Nolan Kamarous, Krista and Katelend Lynns; Her brother Don McInnes and sister Leona Teetaert as well as countless nieces and nephews. Doreen's life was celebrated by family and friends on March 31, 2011 at Memories Chapel and was lovingly carried to her final resting place in the Brandon Cemetery by her grandson Jesse Brown.
