BYCZKOWSKI:It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the unexpected death of our beloved husband, father, and PaPa, Terry Walter Byczkowski. Terry passed away on March 22, 2011 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Terry was born on September 13, 1958 in Brandon to Walter and Martha Byczkowski. He grew up in the North End of Brandon. Attending High School at Crocus Plains, he worked for the City of Brandonand would remain there for twenty three years. In 2000, his career path took a turn and he worked for the Brandon School Division as an Educational Assistant, this led him to a very special group of people who loved him just as he loved them. Terry was active in the community always volunteering to coach, fundraise or assist in any other way that he could. He coached various sports teams such as curling, football, and baseball. He worked with Rob Cullen to develop the Neelin High School Football team. He coached many children through the Little Rocker and Junior Curling Clubs held at the Wheat City Curling Club. Terry touched many people's lives and their hearts through his mentoring and unconditional friendship and love. There were manychildren who benefited from Terry's knowledge and warmth as they were learning a sport and often their take home message was that they were an important part of a team and the glory of winning or the despair of a loss was owned by all team members equally. Terry became a "father figure" to many of the kids he mentored. Terry is survived by his loving wife, Carma, his children Tyler (Jessica Juba) and Ashleigh and the love of his life, grandson Colton. Terry is survived by his step mother Agnes Byczkowski, sisters, Marilyn Byczkowski (Oak River, Manitoba), Teresa Janzen (Okotoks, Alberta), Patricia Siemans (Kola, Manitoba) and Tracy Bryant (Brandon, Manitoba). Terry is also survived by one brother, Jim. There are numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family who also survive. Terry was predeceased by his mother in 1982 and his father in 2001.
