KAUK: Adeline Kauk (Matthes). It is with deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Adeline Kauk on April 20, 2011. "Adie" leaves to mourn her sons: Rick (Pat) of Saskatoon, Doug (Barb) and Jim (Shirley) of Brandon; grandchildren: Richelle, Karissa (Scott Beattie) and Derrick of Saskatoon, Kevin and Bryan Kauk, Jill (Derrick Stewart) and Marty Kauk of Brandon. Also left to mourn are: sister Connie Klowak, brother Clayton (Shirley) Matthes, brother- in-law Wally (Del) Kauk, sisters-in-law Lee (Art) Kowk, Shirley Kauk and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was born March 3, 1926 and raised in Winnipeg. Adie and George were married July 23, 1949, and moved to Brandon in 1966, when George transferred with CN Rail. Mom was a homemaker, always caring for her family. Adeline and George were active members of GraceLutheran Church, where she was very involved in LWML. Mom and Dad enjoyed many summers at Oak Lake Beach. She enjoyed bowling, crafts and gardening, and loved suppers with family. Adie loved coffee out with her dear friend Kay. Mom was always very proud of her grandchildren, and loved spending time with her family. A celebration of Adie's life was held Monday, April 25, 2011 at Grace Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Adeline may be made to Grace English Church ROOF Fund, 3101 Victoria Avenue, Brandon, Manitoba, R7B 3P3. Special thanks to Dr. J. Maier for the wonderful care over the years and to the staff at BRHA, 4th floor. Thanks also to Pastor Edmund Mielke, George Malmstrom, and LWML at Grace Lutheran Church.Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com.
