McLEAN: Nellie, 1922–2011. The death of Thera Ellen Louise McLean of Miniota occurred May 4, 2011 at the Hamiota Health Centre. She was born to Samuel and Alma Heslip at home on the farm near Pheasant Forks, SK, the third child in a family of twelve. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1996. She will be fondly remembered by her son Eric and wife Linda, her daughter Thera, Grandchildren Candice and Brett (Jessica Bauer-McLure) McLean, Jason Gertz and Kim (Blake) Harder. Missing her also will be her brothers Lawrence and Nelson Heslip, sisters Florence Roy and Bernice Rollo and sister-in-law Sylvia Heslip as well as nieces and nephews. In keeping with Nellie’s wishes a family graveside service was held on May 7, 2011. If so desired donations maybe made to the Hamiota Health Centre, Hamiota, MB, R0M 0T0 or a charity of one’s choice.
