WIEBE: Abraham Wiebe of Rivers, Manitoba passed away surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the age of 68 years. He has left to mourn his loving wife Sarah (nee Burrage), his daughters Susanne Dubois, Sally (Bill) Stewart, Sherry Oakey (Kevin Salter), Abby Murray, Sandra (Glen) Thomson and son Richard (Diana) White; grandchildren Steven Dubois, Alex Stewart, Alisa Oakey, Ryan and Ashley Murray, Cassandra, William and Braden Thomson, Brittany, Curtis and Riley Wiebe; his sisters Mary Klassen, Susan (Gordon) Frederick and "the twins" Denise (Amos) Knutt and Diane (Nizam) Ali and many more cousins and relatives. He was predeceased by his parents John and Susanne Wiebe, sisters Martha, Nettie, brother John and brother-in-law Wilfred Klassen. Abe worked for the Rolling River School Division for over 40 years. He was an active member for the Rivers area fishand game as well as the Little Saskatchewan River Conservation District. He loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed fishing. He loved passing on his knowledge of angling to the young participants in the Manitoba Fishing League. He was fondly known to many as "big Abe" or "honestAbe" and will be missed by all the people he played his "tricks" on over the years. The Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rivers United Church, Rivers, Manitoba. Reverend Glenna Beauchamp will officiate. A Luncheon will be held at the Rivers Arena where all are welcome to come and share their "Abe" stories. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Abe may be made to BRHC Foundation for Westman Cancer Care, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2B3.
