PARNALL: Olive (Casselman) Parnall passed away at Abbotsford, B.C. on December 20, 2009. She was predeceased by her husband Hugh, sisters Margaret, Jean and Jewel, brothers Warren, Armand and Murray, two nieces and one nephew. She leaves to mourn her daughter Marlee, son Grant and grand children Clarisa, Sarah and Connor, sisters Jean, Aileen, Mime and Eleanor (who has since passed away), brother Harold and numerous nieces and nephews. Olive was born at Lauder in 1918, the ninth child of Steve and Tillie Casselman. She took all her schooling at Lauder and was active in all local activities including the famous Lauder Girls Basketball team. Olive enrolled as a driver with the Women's Army Corp (WAC) during the second World War and served overseas receiving her discharge in 1947. Olive and Hugh spent most of their married life in Yellowknife NWT before retiring to Abbotsford. A graveside Memorial service will be held at Lauder on Sunday July 24th. 2011 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ralph Clark in attendance. Donations in her memory may be made to the Lauder Cemetery Fund through Eldon Ramsey, Box 66, Lauder, Manitoba, R0M 1C0.
