WALLACE: James A. Wallace, beloved husband of Doreen, passed away Monday, August 8, 2011, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre at the age of 76 years. James was born in Brandon on September 9, 1934. After taking his schooling in Brandon, he went on to work as a heavy duty mechanic for the Department of Highways for 38 years. James enjoyed camping and fishing, and loved to cook for his family and friends. He spent summers at the family cottage at Clear Lake. He and Doreen enjoyed many winters in Arizona following retirement. He took special interest in his grandchildren's activities. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Doreen; son Jim and wifeAnita, grandsons Brent, Blair and Brock of Calgary; son Earl of Edmonton, grandchildren Sarah and Eric; daughter Judy Turner (Bill), grandchildren Tyler and Teighan, and brother Dave and wife Bev of Brandon. He was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Evelyn Wallace of Brandon. Funeral Service was held on Friday, August 12, 2011 at Memories Chapel with Rev. Dr. Dong-Ha Kim officiating. Pallbearers were Brent, Blair, Brock Wallace, Eric and Sarah Wallace, Tyler and Teighan Turner. Interment followed at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Special thank you to the nursing staff on A2 and A3 of the Assiniboine Centre for the kindness and caring during Dad's 3 years there.
