NEWTON: Henry Andrew Newton of Brandon, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, August, 16, 2011 at the age of 92 years. Henry was born in Melfort, SK on July 21, 1919 to Leona Newton, who had been widowed two months before his birth. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 68 years, Letty; daughter Judy Mirzai; grandchildren Dr. Michael (Eva) Mirzai, Dr. Todd Mirzai, Dr. Deanna (Steven) Mirzai-Nagosaka; great grandchildren Evanna, Michael Jr., Darius, Liela, Jack and Max all of Hawaii; daughter Elmira (Murray) Bateman; grandchildren; Desire Shannon, Loni (Zane) Southgate; great grandchildren Brookie and Ethan all of Calgary, Alberta. He is also survived by brother Steven of Melfort, Saskatchewan and sister-in-law Ada Shellborn, and numerous nieces and nephews. Henry was predeceased by son-in-law, Dr. Mike Mirzai. A Funeral Service will be held at First Baptist Church, 3881 Park Avenue, on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Orton Anderson officiating. Interment will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 9 a.m. at the Brandon Cemetery. Donation may be made in memory of Henry to First Baptist Church, 3881 Park Avenue, Brandon, Manitoba, R7B 3Y6.
