FRIESEN: Rita Agnes Friesen of Minnedosa passed away August 20, 2011 at the Minnedosa District Health Center at the age of 88 years. Rita was born in Port Arthur Ontario on February 4, 1923. She lived and worked in Ontario until 1953 where she then relocated to Manitoba. She remained in Manitoba until 1974 at which time she moved to British Columbia and remained until 2004. For health reasons she moved back to Minnedosa, Manitoba and stayed until her passing. She was predeceased by a brother Joseph Rabb, an older sister Bertha Denniger, grandsons Michael Friesen and Kylayne Leach. Surviving are 3 sons: Wayne Leach (Dee), Don Friesen (Bev), and Brian Friesen (Veni); 2 daughters: Blanche Leach and Yvonne Friesen (Lloyd); 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter. Funeral service was held August 25, 2011 from the Minnedosa Funeral Services Chapel with Reverend Natasha Pearen officiating. Interment followed in the Dryden Cemetery, Dryden, Ontario on August 27, 2011.
