MORRICE: Margaret Jean Morrice, 'Jean' to all who knew her, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2011. Born in Hamiota, Manitoba in 1922 she was predeceased by her parents John and Mary Morrice, her siblings Sandy Morrice and Molly Black, her niece Jean Morrice and her nephew Chuck Morrice. Jean was a very social person who will be greatly missed by her wide circle of friends, her neighbours, and her surviving family: sister-in-law Terry Morrice, niece Katherine, nephews Ed (Grace) and Ian (Cynthia), niece-in-law Lynne Marie, great-niece Juli (Michael), great-nephew Matthew (Tiffany), and great-great nieces and nephew Emma, Cameron and Claire. A celebration of Jean's life was held on February 10th at St. George's United Church, Courtney, B.C. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at the Hamiota Cemetery. Donations in memory of Jean may be made to the Red Cross, British Columbia Association for Community Living or a charity of choice.
