FORDYCE: Evelyn Mabel Fordyce (nee Nixon) passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife of Cameron and loving mother of Connie (Dave) Brown of Brandon, Debbie (Marv) LeBlanc of Ninette, Bob (Debbie) and Darryl (Sharon) of Brandon. There are nine grandchildren: Pam (Tom) Mebs and Craig Brown; Derek (Kara) and Devon (Farran) LeBlanc; Ashley (Colin) and Bobbi Fordyce, Alex Burka; Stacey (Cale) and Marisa (Travis) Fordyce who will dearly miss her. Evelyn is survived by her sister Elva McDonald of Cartwright and her brother Howard Nixon of Brandon; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Faye and Gordon Bell of Victoria, B.C.; Lorraine and Hal Quilliam of Edmonton; Sharon Fordyce of Oak Lake Beach and Betty Ferris of Russell as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Nelson and Clara Nixon; sister Effie (Seymour) Swanson, brother Bobbie, infant brother William, sister-in-law Eva Nixon, brothers-in-law Norman McDonald, Howard Ferris, Jack Fordyce and mother and father-in-law Charles and Jean Fordyce. The Funeral Ceremony was held at Memories Chapel, on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Rev. Paul Sakasov of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church officiated. A private interment took place at the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Evelyn may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415 1st Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2W8.
