IRONSIDE: Ruby Eileen (Macklin) passed away peacefully on September 19th, 2011 with her children at her side at Rock Lake Health Centre, Crystal City. Mom was born in the RM of Argyle on September 4th 1936 to Harold & Leorinda Macklin. She married Les Ironside on April 15th, 1955. Mom & Dad lived and farmed south west of Rapid City and raised 6 children. Over the years mom enjoyed curling, bowling, gardening and baking for the Rapid City Fair. For many years she was the Avon Representative for the Rapid City area. Her most treasured time was spent with her family. Mom was predeceased by: her parents Harold & Leorinda, brother Wesley, husband Les, father and mother in law James and Annie Ironside, brothers in law Jim, Ron, Bill, David Ironside, Morris Brennand and sister in law Shirley. She leaves to mourn her passing her children Deborah (Augustin Gosselin), Larry (Jackie), Don (Evelyn), Judy (Dave Hardy), LeeAnn (Kevin), and Cathy (Tim Tweedie). Grandchildren: Michelle, Sean, Darcy, Chris, DJ, Curtis, Jenni, Jeffrey, Jerred, Zane, Danielle and numerous great grand children. Sister Muriel (Ray Wickens), sisters in law Evelyn (Alec Heuser), Flora (Les Dyer), Ethel (Mack Westwood), Muriel Brennand, Zig (Lick Robinson), Jany (Lorne Lilley), Heather (Mel Soltys) and many nieces and nephews. The service was held on September 22nd, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Glenora. Mom was laid to rest beside Dad by her children and grandchildren on September 23rd, 2011 in the Rapid City Cemetery. If you so desire, donations may be made in Moms name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
