STURBY: Mike. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mike Sturby on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at WestMan Nursing Home, Virden, Manitoba with his family by his side. Mike was in his 96th year. He was predeceased by Mary, his beloved wife of 63 years, in December, 2006. He will be missed by his three children, Sharron (Victoria), Eugene (Edmonton) and Ruth (Golden); three grandchildren, Tracy Obsniuk (Victoria), Mark Obsniuk (Vancouver) and Dave Sturby (Brandon) and one great- granddaughter, 1 year old Saskia Obsniuk (Vancouver). He is survived by two brothers, Merlin and Metro (Winnipeg) and two sisters, Vange Nagy (Preeceville, Saskatchewan) and Rose Guspodarchuk (Snow Lake, Manitoba). Mike farmed south of Cromer before moving to Virden in 1986. The funeral service will take place Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Virden, Manitoba. Father Don Bernhardt will officiate. Interment will be in Virden Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations in memory of Mike may be made to Virden & Area Palliative Care P.O.
