BERRY: Llewellyn Douglas (Doug), April 22, 1945-October 16, 2011. Doug Berry passed away at home suddenly, Sunday afternoon at the age of 66 years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Dianne Laframboise, his sons Scott (Sara), Geoff (Courtney) and Chris Berry (Samantha), his granddaughters Ashlyn and Kaitlyn Berry, his mother Mary Berry-Hill, sister Joan Berry and brothers Holland, Donald, Bryon Berry and their spouses along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Born and raised in Virden, MB, Doug spent his childhood years growing up in Cromer and Brandon, MB. He also attended and played football at the famous college of Notre Dame “Home of the Hounds” in Wilcox, SK and over these years made many strong friendships and memories. For over 40 years, Doug was dedicated to the Flooring Industry in many capacities. He initially worked in the wholesale industry with Bigelow and Hardings, and later moved to commercial floor covering with Rundle Floors. For the past 20 years has owned and managed a family business “Berry Flooring”. He truly loved this business, his customers, his staff and his many friends throughout the industry. Doug loved golfing, vacationing at his home in Arizona, his Westies and of course, his time with family and friends sharing laughter and groans at his never ending efforts and success at humour. A “Celebration of Life” will be held for Doug from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2011 at the Delta Calgary South “Atrium Building”, 135 Southland Drive S.E., Calgary, AB.
