BOULANGER: Maurice Boulanger, husband of Jeanne passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Tuesday, October 18, 2011. He leaves behind to mourn his passing his wife of 56 years, Jeanne, his children Lucie (Norm), Yvette (Bob), Dolores (Mark) and Felix (Twila), grandchildren, Josh (Tracy), Joel (Kim), Jeremy (Jennifer), Dustin, Daniel, Hillary, Cole, Brett and Alyssa and great-grand-daughter, Brianna. He also leaves his brothers Edouard (Lynne) and Andre (Wilma) and his sisters Jeanne and Astrid (Gary) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Maurice was predeceased by his parents (Amedee and Justine) and his brothers-in-law Jack Keenan and Hubert Lamouline. Maurice was born on August 15, 1933 on the family farm near Antler, SK. When he was 5, his family moved to the Grande Clairiere area to farm. He attended school in Grande Clairiere then Otterburne. In 1955, he married Jeanne Lamouline and they continued to farm and raise their four children in the Grande Clairiere area until 1974 when he quit farming. He then worked at numerous jobs including implement sales, truck driving, school bus driving, backhoe owner/operating, and most recently pilot truck driving. In 1987, Maurice and Jeanne moved their house from the farm to Souris where they continued to live until Maurice's passing.Maurice's hobbies included playing hardball, bowling, curling, camping, playing cards and woodworking. Sincere thank you to Dr. Cram and the wonderful nurses at the Souris Health Centre for their compassion, care and kindness.
