IRWIN: Passed away at the Deer Lodge Centre, Winnipeg Manitoba, on Thursday December 29, 2011 at the age of 91 years, Lloyd Joseph Irwin of Winnipeg, formerly of Belmont Manitoba. Lloyd is survived by his son Chris (Katherine) of Belmont, his only grandson Robbie and wife Pam and by his great granddaughters Sarah and Emma, all of Edmonton, Alberta, as well as his sister Iva Shaw of Killarney, Manitoba. Funeral Service will be held in the Knox United Church, Belmont, on Wednesday January 4, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Phyllis Mulligan officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery, Belmont. Friends that so desire, memorial donations can be made in Lloyds memory to the Strathcona Historical Society (Museum), c/o Helen Delorme, Belmont, Manitoba R0K 0C0. The family would like to thank Deer Lodge management, Nursing and Support Staff of 2 West, 2 South, Tower 6 for making his stay a memorable one full of happiness and a sense of belonging over the past nine years. Finally 3 East, its management, Nursing and support staff making his final days comfortable and pain free.
