BRYANT: It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, our foundation, our friend Muriel May Bryant on December 30, 2011 at the Hamiota District Palliative Care Unit at the age of 95. She will be remembered by her 2 sons Bob Bryant, Ron (Vicki) Bryant, her 3 daughters Eleanor (Raymond) Airey, Donna (George) Wilkins, Faye (Greg) Little and her 16 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She is survived by her brother Bud Barrett and sister Ethel Robinson. She was predeceased by her husband Reg in 1984; her daughter-in-law Gert Bryant in 2011 and grandson Calvin Bryant in 2010; parents William (Eleanor) (Lorraine) Barrett; sisters Mabel (Jack) Stewart, Evelyn (Gordon) Finlay, Elsie (Leonard) Bryant; sister in-law Joan Barrett; brothers Bill (Evelyn) Barrett, Wilfred (Marie) Barrett; and brother in-law Warren Robinson. Muriel was born in Crandall, Manitoba in 1916. She spent most of her adolescent years in Rapid City, Manitoba then moved to Miniota where she met and married Reginald Clifford Bryant in 1938.They resided on a farm ? mile south of Miniota where she raised 5 children while enjoying gardening, baking, knitting and general family activities. She loved her grandchildren and made sure the cookie jar was always full. She played many games with the children that often included a good game of scrabble which she was rarely beaten at. She attended Miniota Anglican Church until January 6th, 2011 when she moved to Birch Lodge in Hamiota. On Christmas day 2011 she fell and broke her hip succumbing to her injury on December 30, 2011. The funeral service was held January 6, 2012 at the Miniota Anglican Church with officiate Nigel Packwood. Interment was at the Miniota cemetery. Pallbearers were: Grandchildren Jason Airey, Brad Wilkins, Dan Cameron, Randy Bryant, Devon Little and Great grandchild Lee Flannery. Eulogy was read by Grandchildren Kim Bryant-Flannery and Josie Simard. Bible readings were read by Grandchild Cindy Soder and Great Grandchild Crystal Cyrenne. A Poem was read by Grandchild Ronda Allen. The organist was Marg Taylor of Miniota. Campbell Funeral Home, Hamiota were entrusted with arrangements. Donations in Muriels memory can be made to the Hamiota District Palliative Care Suite, Hamiota District Health Centre, Hamiota, Manitoba, ROM OTO. The love and faith you had mum will always be with us. As the grandchildren said in their eulogy you may think we are talking of an angel and to us that is just what she was. Mum you were the type of mother that people write story books about, and we are all so very blessed to have been part of your story. You will be in our hearts forever. ~The Bryant Family
