GOOD (Louttit): March 14, 1932 - January 20, 2012). Shirley Leona Good passed away peacefully at Mt. Cartier Court Extended Care, Revelstoke, BC on January 20, 2012 at the age of 79 years. A memorial tea will be held at the Revelstoke Seniors Center on February 19th at 1:00 p.m. with Mr. Gary Sulz officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice in memory of Shirley. Shirley was born near Elgin, MB on March 14, 1932. As a young woman she worked as a telephone operator at the Elgin and Boissevain exchanges. Shirley married Lloyd Good in January 1950. They lived in Kenora, ON until moving to Revelstoke in 1971. Shirley will be fondly remembered for Big Eddy Ceramics. She was also a volunteer with the Ladies Auxiliary at the Thrift Shop. Shirley loved gardening, cooking and was very creative with many kinds of crafts. Shirley was predeceased by her parents Lorance and Charlotte Louttit, Elgin, MB. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Lloyd of Revelstoke, four children, Teresa Elsom of Revelstoke, Darleen (Stewart) McCartney, of Revelstoke, Ivan Good of Victoria and Loran (Wayne) Lilwall, grandchildren, Samantha (Jason) Mathie of Calgary, Jeff Stoddart and Eric Stoddart of Revelstoke and Edward McCartney of Revelstoke; two great-grandchildren Eliza and James Mathie of Calgary, sister Donelda (Bruce) McLean of Forrest, MB as well as many nieces and nephews. Cremation arrangements are in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke, BC. Shirleys ashes will be buried in Elgin Cemetery at a later date.
