BENN: Lillian Benn, Kii Nash Pemaduziwin (Long Life) Lillian was born in Birtle, Manitoba on August 6, 1934. On February 8, 2012 at 1:00 a.m., the creator came and took Lillian by the hand and guided her into the spirit world. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Mary Benn, her partner Earl Wolfe; sons Delaney Wolfe, Marshall Benn, Clifton Benn, Violet`s twin sister Jeanette and one still born who was Rose`s twin. She was also predeceased by brothers Leonard Benn, Richard Benn, Herman Benn and other relatives, too many to mention. Lillian met Don Ross around 1981. They lived together for 15 years or more. Together they had a son Faron. Don passed away sometime in 1995. Lillian will be sadly missed by her children Violet Merrick, Verna Warner (Len), Alice Flett (Hubert), Rose McKaskie, Elvin Benn (Donna), Carl Benn (Mary ann), Faron, Priscilla Benn (Terry), Teenah Wolfe, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, relatives and family. She is also survived by her brother Cecil, her sisters Jessie, Violet and Mayble. A traditional wake will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. from the Birdtail- Sioux First Nation School. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Birdtail-Sioux First Nation School with Deacon Conrad Plante and Henry Skywater officiating. Interment to follow in the Can Kaga Otina Cemetery, Birdtail-Sioux First Nation. Pallbearers will be Mike McKaskie, Jay Flett, Fred Benn, Morley Bear, Cody Benn and Dean Bone. Honorary Pallbearers will be William Benn, Pernell Flett, Terry Merrick, Sabastian Benn, Marcel Benn and Harold Bone.
