CHABOT: Brodie Taylor Chabot. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Brodie on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 23 years of age, at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, MB. Brodie will be missed and lovingly remembered by his parents, Bob and Karen; his brother, sister-in-law and niece, Jon, Christie and little Mirae; his sister Ashton and his grandparents Derek and Bea Betts. Brodie has many close relatives that will miss him dearly including Jocy Gillis and family, Bernie and Bonnie Chabot and family, Brigitte and Richard Beaudry and family, Nicole and Vince Gillis and family, Gilles and Lisa Chabot and family, Shauna Betts and Andrew Giffin and family, Deann and John MacInnis and family, Lori Betts and Ruedi Hauserman. Brodie had a special love and friendship with several of his cousins, especially Corey and Brandon. He also had a huge network of close friends far too many to mention. He is predeceased by his grandparents Maurice and Eveline Chabot and his uncle Lloyd Gillis of Elie, MB. Brodie had a love for the outdoors and loved to hunt, fish and camp. Brodie's heart was as big as his stature and he had a special ability to keep close contact with friends. He had an uncanny ability to show up when he seemed to be needed most! His sense of humour was unmatched and he always lit up a room when he entered. Brodie began his career as a carpenter and completed three apprentice levels before he decided to join his uncles and cousin in the family farm implement business at Chabot Implements. He quickly became an expert in the GPS technology side of the business. He will be sadly missed by his co-workers and customers alike. A memorial service celebrating Brodie's life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the Yellowhead Centre, 175 Mountain Avenue in Neepawa, MB with Pastor Daniel Williams officiating. Service will conclude at the hall with an interment to follow at a later date. Anyone wishing to make a donation in memory of Brodie may do so toward the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, CE501-840 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1S1 or by calling 866-953-5437 (www.goodbear.mb.ca).
