MILLER: Ann, beloved wife of the late Charlie Miller of Pipestone, Manitoba, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre in Brandon on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at the age of 82 years. It was with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Stepmother, Grandma and Great-Grandma. Mom was born on the family farm to George Thomas Forke and Adelade Forke (Hall). Mom was born on December 5, 1929. Mom is survived by her daughter Pat Single and son Gordon Motz, both of Brandon. Grandchildren Sharon (Dallas) Lemaire and Tricia Single (John) of Brandon and Great-grandchildren Anita, Eric and Jennifer Lemaire of Brandon. She is also survived by brothers Gordon Forke (Ruth) of Pipestone and Tom and Pat McCrindle of the USA, Sister-in-law Lil Forke, Saskatoon. Mom is also survived by her step-daughters, Alana East and Donna Smith (Clint) of Winnipeg. Grandchildren Jeff East in Alberta and Jenny East in Ontario, Brad Smith (Jenn), Brian Smith and Lisa Smith all of Winnipeg. Great-grandchildren Josh Smith of Winnipeg and Ella East in Alberta. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mom was predeceased by her husband, Charlie Miller, son-in-law, Al Single, sisters, Ethel Forke and Verna Fairbairn of Pipestone, Shirley Millhouse of USA and a brother George Forke. Mom liked to help in the community any way that she could and enjoyed every minute. Mom belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary and to the Legion. She enjoyed all the meetings and had fun at the Xmas parties and bake sales. She also took over as reporter for The Reston Recorder from Jessie Gloor for many years. Mom liked to do many hobbies. She loved to knit, crafts, flowers and gardening. Both Mom and Charlie loved their pets. Bailey (dog), KC (bird), fish and even fed all of the birds outside. Mom also took pride and loved all of her Grand and Great-grandchildren very much. If she could not get to see them, she would always ask about them. Mom enjoyed life to the fullest. Both Mom and Charlie loved to have company. Every day there would be someone there. On Saturday morning, sometimes the house would be full of friends and relatives. Mom would serve tea and coffee in the house or on the patio, depending on the weather and Charlie would be telling jokes. Plenty of good times. Funeral services were held in Pipestone, Manitoba on February 22, 2012 at the Pipestone Community Hall. Interment was in the Pipestone Cemetery. Bailey, their beloved little dog was buried with Mom. The Guild served the lunch and it was very delicious. Carscadden Funeral Chapel was in care of arrangements.
