FINDLAY: The family of Robert (Bob) Stanley Findlay is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our husband and father after a courageous battle with cancer at the Assiniboine Centre in Brandon, MB on Tuesday; March 13, 2012. Mourning his loss: his loving wife of 38 years, Renee; children: Jason (Amelie), Stephen, Laura (Jason), Cynthia (Roland) and Heather (Nathan); grandchildren: Justice, Ayva, Avery and Owain; siblings: Francis (Bob), Jan (Rob), Timothy (Suzanne) and sister-in-law Jackie. Bob was born on August 2, 1945 in South Seaford, Sussex, England, the 2nd of 5 children of Robert and Margaret. He came to Canada at the age of 8 to live in Edmonton, Alberta before the family moved to CFB Shilo, MB. In 1967, Bob moved to Oak Lake to work at the Co-op, where he met the love of his life, Renee, whom he married in 1973. Together with his wife, Bob took an active role in the upbringing of their five children. In 1972, Bob received his electrical degree.
