KIDD: The death of Carol Lynn Kidd (nee Ashley) of Brandon occurred at the Assiniboine Centre on March 12, 2012. Born in Morden, Manitoba on July 12, 1943, Carol was raised in Manitou where she received her schooling. She was a stay at home Mom for a number of years and when time allowed she enjoyed volunteering. She worked for a number of years with the Manitoba Lung Association as well as the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Carol will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years Bob; sons Darren (Karen) and Richard (Sharon); grandchildren, Eleena and Halle and sister Gaydha Munro. She was predeceased by her father Norman in 1968, mother Loveday in 1998 and brother Mackay in 1990. A "Come and Go" celebration was held at Memories Chapel on Friday, March 16, 2012. Interment will take place at Manitou Cemetery, Manitou, MB at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Carol may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation for the Residence - Western Manitoba Cancer Centre, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB R7A 2B3 or to the Westman Dreams for Kids Foundation, Unit 202 - 37 11th Street, Brandon, MB R7A 4J2.
