BOORMAN: In loving memory of Marlaine (Marnie) Boorman, beloved daughter of Isabel and the late Fred Boorman, died in the Fairview Personal Care Home on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the age of 60 years. Left to mourn Marnie’s passing are siblings Helen Thornitt, Bill Boorman, Linda (Mel) Baker and long time friend Joe Jaworski (the love of her life). She will always be a loving daughter, a wonderful sister, an aunt, a cousin, a niece and friend to so many. Marnie was born in Souris, Manitoba on September 29, 1951. She was raised on a dairy farm, and attended school in Souris. Marnie moved to Brandon, Manitoba in 1972, where she lived independently for almost 40 years. She worked at such places as Arm Industries. Marnie struggled with health problems her entire life. On July 3, 2007, Marnie moved to Fairview Personal Care Home. She made many new friends there. Her love for bingo, card playing and listening to music kept her busy. Marlaine had a joy for life, and sadly left us far too soon. She will be missed deeply. A private family graveside service will be held at the Souris & Glenwood Cemetery on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Followed be a memorial reception for family and friends at the Souris Legion Clubroom at 2:30 p.m. The family wishes to thank Dr. Davis for his many years of unconditional care and to the 4th floor staff at Fairview Home for their personal kindness and support.
