ROSS: We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Allan Craig Ross of Brandon.  After an extremely courageous battle against cancer, Allan passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 10, 2012  at the age of 63. Allan leaves to celebrate his life his wife Sally; his three sons: Mark, Jeff (Jen), and Jordan (Kath); five grandchildren: Haidyn, Caleb, Morgan, Dawson, and Micah; two brothers: Doug (Joan) of Spruce Grove, AB. and twin brother Murray (Jackie) of Vancouver, BC.; brother-in-law Ed Turner (Melanie) of Kelowna and sister-in-law Susan Widing of Winfield, B.C.; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, extended families, and friends. He was predeceased by many family members and friends but would like to mention his father Lloyd in 1951, his mother Enid in 2006, and brother-in-law Juha Widing in 1984. Allan’s life was always full of adventure, surprises, accomplishments, challenges and rewards. He defined family, love, strength and courage. His passion for life, sense of humor, and his unwavering ability to enjoy each and every day as a gift inspired so many, especially over the last few years. Allan shared his journey through cancer with his family and friends with a positive attitude and overwhelming braveness. Allan's greatest joy was his family. He was very proud of his three sons and five grandchildren. Allan enjoyed this life’s journey and would not have changed a thing.  Even though his life was short he was very grateful for the opportunities he had, and for the people that he met in his life. He truly lived by his words of wisdom:  Live One Day At A Time, Stay Healthy, Smile and Give Someone A Hug Today! The Funeral Service to celebrate Allan’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. from Central United Church, 327 8th Street, Brandon. A reception will follow at the Victoria Inn Grand Salon, 3550 Victoria Ave. West. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, “Palliative Care Unit”, or “Sense of Home Building Campaign” 150 McTavish Ave. Brandon, MB. R7A 2B3.
