BOURDEAU D'HUI: George Gustaf, September 19, 1929 - May 7, 2012. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather George, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre at the age of 82 years. He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Marie, brother Marcel and sister Yvonne. Remaining to forever cherish his memory are wife Josephine, children Dianne (Randy), Paul, Larry (Pat), Gerald (Cheryl), Lorrie (Dale), grandchildren Devin, Ashley, Megan, Brendan, Brandon and Brianna. George spent his early years in the Swan Lake area. Then after entering the work force in the construction business he moved to Brandon where he spent the remainder of his life. He was very proud of his family spending time at the lake fishing and helping clean the many and varied fish ready for the next meal. Fall saw him out trudging through the snow in pursuit of a prized deer, which made many a winter stew. In his early years handball was his favourite pastime and getting to the games with his buddies on weekends was a must. George enjoyed bowling, music and dancing with his favourite gal. In later years due to health problems he slowed down and spent time reading, doing puzzles and those unforgettable crib games. The family would like to thank the staff and doctors on A2 Assiniboine Centre for their dedicated care during his final stay. A private family celebration of George's life will take place with a graveside ceremony at Brandon Cemetery. May he rest in peace. Expressions of sympathy may be made atwww.memorieschapel.com.
