BALL (MITCHELL), Isabella Whyte (nee Stephen). March 2, 1924 May 18, 2012. Isabella Ella Whyte Ball passed away at the Rising Sun Care Centre in Black Diamond on Friday, May 18, 2012 at the age of 88 years. She was born in Broughty Ferry, Scotland. She came to Canada in 1926 with her mother, Jane to join her father J.I. (Jack) Stephen. Attended school in Tilley and Strathmore, she then attended the Hendersons Business College and was employed by the D.N.R. and the C.P.R in Calgary. She spent many happy years in Calgary. In 1950 she married Raymond Mitchell and moved to Brandon MB where she resided until 1996. She then returned to Alberta where she married Fred Ball from Millarville. She enjoyed horse back riding, dancing and her involvement with the United Church but most of all was her pride in her grandchildren. Ella is survived by son Garry (Jo-Ann), daughter-in -law Liz and grandchildren; Kalynn (Gavin), Bryan, Michael (Fiancée Carla), Ashleigh (Fiancée Kyle) and Jeffery. Also survived by her brother Charlie and sister Dorothy, sister-in-law Roberta, Marian and Gayle as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ella was predeceased by her husband Ray in 1987 and husband Fred in 2001, by her son Bob in 1995, daughter Sharon in 2009, her parents, brothers; Jackie, William, George and Eddy. Funeral Services was held at McInnis & Holloways Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
