CLARK: After an extremely courageous battle against cancer, it is with immense sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our husband, father, grandfather, and friend, George Edward Clark on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at the age of 68 years. George will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years Lesley, son Jeffrey (Lynn), daughter Jody (Jon), and grandchildren Amelia, Mason, Mia, and Gisela. Also left to cherish his memory are his parents, Loreen and George Clark, brother Ed Clark (Barbara), sister-in-law Melanie Turner(Ed), nephews John and Dan, and nieces Wendy and Kristine. George was born on March 15, 1944, in Brandon, Manitoba. His passions in life revolved around his family, friends, work, and of course his horses. George began his business career with Pioneer Electric in Brandon. In 1979, George moved to Winnipeg to pursue a career of 30 years with Monarch Industries. Throughout his fierce battle with cancer, George remained positive, upbeat, and never lost his determination to continue on with life. We invite friends and family to join us for a gathering in honour of George on Tuesday, June 5 at 6:00 pm at the Qualico Family Centre (by the duck pond) in Assiniboine Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or to the Assiniboine Park Conservancy. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.mb.ca885-9715
