BOUCHER: Lorne Edward Boucher passed away peacefully on June 1st, 2012 at the Erickson Personal Care Home. He was born on February 15th, 1926 in Brandon, MB. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret, of 61 years, and his three children, Charlene, Edward and Lori, his five grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Lorne enlisted in the Canadian Artillery in January, 1944 and started work with Manitoba Hydro in 1946. Lorne worked on crews until doing district work in Pipestone, Hamiota, Kenton, Melita, Killarney, Baldur and Erickson, where he worked until retiring in 1981. Lorne was an active member of Toast Masters, Masonic Lodge and the Royal Canadian Legion. Lorne enjoyed many hobbies such as golf, curling and many retirement years in Weslaco, Texas with his wife and friends. Lorne was predeceased by his parents Edward and Lilian, brother Jim (Betty), cousins Ann Syko and Evelyn Townsend and son-in-law Dennis Lavineway. The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 7th, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Erickson Legion Hall. Interment will follow in the Erickson Cemetery. Rev. Chad McCharles and Elgin Hall will officiate. If friends so desire donations may be made to the Erickson and District Personal Care Home Activity Department. Raes Funeral Service of Erickson is in care of the arrangements. (204) 636-7727.
