BOGUSKI: It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Adeline (Adele) Boguski (Tokar) on Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Dauphin Regional Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 78. Adele was born September 12, 1933 to John and Dora (nee Skwarok) Tokar on the homestead in Keld, Manitoba. The family (11 children) lived on the family farm until 1950 when mom and her mother and father moved to Dauphin. While at home on the farm, mom attended Kosiew School. Upon moving to Dauphin, mom attended Littles’ Business College and worked for the Town of Dauphin for two years. On June 3, 1954, she married dad, Manuel (Mel) Boguski, at the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Dauphin. They resided in Dauphin and Makinak before settling in Dauphin when dad took a permanent teaching position. She is survived by daughter, Angela (Michael) Werbicki, son, Greg (partner Joe Stouffer), grandchildren, Nicole (Justin) Dyck and Aaron (Barbara) Werbicki and great grandchild, Liam Dyck. She will be missed by sisters Olive Bosiak of Brandon, Nell (Michael) Partyka of Winnipeg, brother-in-laws, Walter (Marj) Boguski, Sylvester (Gladys) Boguski and sisters-in law, Elsie Drebnisky and Virginia (Basil) Graham, many nieces, nephews and extended family. Mom enjoyed her family, both near and extended. Her children, grandchildren and her first great grandchild were immensely important to her and the times spent with them were filled with laughter and love. She was also looking forward to the arrival of two more great grandchildren this summer. Mom enjoyed playing cards, and her and dad always were up for a long night of canasta playing as many of you will know. She also enjoyed playing bingo where she made many a new friends on those evenings and in early years, she also enjoyed working as a volunteer. Mom with Dad loved to get in the car and travel to whichever direction they thought was interesting which may have been at trip to a casino, maybe fishing or visiting family. Both mom and dad loved their trips to Flin Flon to visit family and go camping and pickerel fishing with late night canasta playing under the light of a propane lantern. They spent many a summer at the cabin at Waterhen, where they fished and enjoyed the company of friends and family. They also loved picking morels, and almost any berry that could be found. Mom came to love the flower gardens in her later years. Mom was known for her sense of humor, deep compassion and she had the ability to make steadfast and loyal friends. She will be truly missed by all whose lives she touched.
