ISAAK: John Isaak, formerly of Brandon, passed away on June 23, 2012 at St. Pauls Hospital in Saskatoon. John was born on September 15, 1926 and was raised at Rivers. He farmed for a number of years as well as taking various off farm jobs which eventually led to full-time employment with B. A. Robinson for some 20 years. He struggled with heart related health issues for a number of years, and after open heart surgery in 1985, enjoyed renewed health for another 26 years. He was always very active in church - singing in quartets and choirs, serving as worship leader, Deacon, trustee, and in any capacity where help was needed. John was predeceased by his first wife Helen (Martens) in 1978, his brother Jack, and his sister Teeny. He is survived by his wife Helen (Fehr), daughter Linda (Rick Dyjak) of Calgary, son John (Lorraine) of Brandon, grandchildren: Jennifer, Christopher and Allison. He is also survived by one brother Henry (Sue) of Brandon, sister Lee (Ike Penner) of Brandon, and sister Agatha (Martin Fehr) of Saskatoon. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 30, 2012 at Cornerstone Mennonite Church in Saskatoon. If friends so desire, donations in Johns memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Pauls Hospital, Saskatoon or Bethany Manor, Saskatoon.
