DENBOW: Sunday, Sept. 9, God welcomed another angel to the heavenly host. Florence Irene Denbow (Reynolds), born Nov. 2, 1920 at home in Leslie, SK, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Neepawa Hospital. Florence knew what hard work was at a tender age, as she helped with her eight younger siblings. Late, she worked for Dr. Chant in Foam Lake before moving to Vancouver where, along with sisters Doris and Bernice, she was employed in a butter making business. It was during this time that she met a handsome young serviceman, Les Denbow. They were married on Aug. 23, 1945, moving back to Les’s hometown of Deleau, MB in 1947. Florence belonged to the Seniors’ Club, the Legion Auxiliary, and was a dedicated and faithful member of the United Church. She still insisted on being called upon for a baking donation right up until her passing. Florence never complained, never spoke badly of anyone, and never hesitated to give a helping hand. Florence was happiest when she had her large family around her; she loved and was proud of every one of them.
