HARDY: Lionel Roland Paul Hardy passed away October 17th, 2012 at the age of 66 years. Lionel was born on August 6th, 1946, to Paul and Marguerite (Lecomte) Hardy in Virden, Manitoba. As a young boy, he attended the Belleville School until grade eight, then at Reston and Pipestone where he excelled at baseball. After the death of his father, Paul Hardy, Lionel went to work for his brother Bob at the Indian Head Esso. After a few years, he changed profession and went to work for Glass Brothers Grocery in Indian Head, where he met his future wife, Sharon Elaine Hardy. They were married in April of 1967, and had two children: Colleen and Leighton. Colleen married Donald Trollope of Brandon, Manitoba. They have two children, Trace and Brittney. Leighton married Tammy Patrick. They have two children, Logan and Colton. Lionel was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be sadly missed by all. Lionel was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Marguerite and his brother Robert Hardy. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Elaine; his daughter Colleen (Don) Trollope; son Leighton (Tammy) Hardy of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta; his four grandchildren Trace, Brittney, Logan and Colton; his brother Rene (Rita) Hardy of Vanguard, SK, as well as several nieces and nephews. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the Saskatchewan Cancer Society as tokens of remembrance in memory of Lionel. Lesons Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
