ERICKSON: Margaret Elizabeth Erickson (Betty), June 14, 1932 - November 28, 2012. It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Betty, our mother, grandmother, wife and friend. Betty was surrounded by her family when she passed away suddenly on Wednesday. She was predeceased by her mother Margaret, her father Donald, her two brothers Robert and Jordie and her sisters Mary Ann and Emily. Betty is survived by her sons Donald (Angela), Earl, her ex-husband Orville Erickson and close friend Bob McLeod. Betty is also survived by grandchildren Mathew and Brittany. Betty brought love and laughter into each and every life she touched. Her infectious laugh and wry sense of humour will be sorely missed. The family would like to thank the emergency staff and the intensive care unit at the Trinity Hospital in Minot for their dedicated and dignified care of mom. A Memorial Service was held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel on Monday, December 3, 2012 with Rev. Shannon McCarthy officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415-1st Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 2W8 or to a charity of choice.
