GOULD: Louise Mildred Gould (Baldwin). October 20, 1912 – December 7, 2012. Louise was the second born of fourteen children in Warren, MB. After graduating high school she received her R.N. degree. She worked at Winnipeg General, Gypsumville and Virden Hospitals. “Louie” as her family called her also did private nursing and that is where she met her husband Ross of 67 years. Lou and Ross were married in June of 1943 and moved into their new house south of Reston. They farmed with the help of their three boys until the fall of 2001. They spent the winters in the Melita Lodge and summers at the farm until 2007 when their health forced them to move to the Hartney Community Health Centre. “Lou” was predeceased by her husband Ross (Feb. 2010); son Mark (Dec. 1999); parents, Joe and Agnes (Jones) Baldwin; sisters, Olive and Bernice; brothers, Ron, Keith, Wilbert, Robert and Lyal. She is survived by sons, Dennis (Shannon) and Gary (Aleta); daughter-in-law Janice; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Opal, Norine and Reta; three brothers, Cam, Kev and Gary; also many nieces and nephews (174). She played accordion and piano. She enjoyed writing letters, skiing and her woodstove. She also enjoyed walking, nature, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. The Hartney Community Health Centre was her home for five years. She thought of everyone as family and received excellent care from the entire staff. A private family graveside service will take place at the Napinka Cemetery, Napinka, MB. in 2013.
