GREAVES: Clair Henry Greaves passed away December 12, 2012 at Bayside Personal Care home in Killarney. He was born November 5, 1920 in Morton Municipality. He was the only son of Harry and Eva (Birbeck) Greaves. Clair farmed with his parents in the Horton District. He had a special love of horses and spent a lot of time with them. Back then, they used horses for most things, especially cutting and hauling wood in the winter. Clair loved the wilderness and all animals. Clair moved to Boissevain with his parents in 1962. He worked at Drings Lumber after moving to town and worked there until he retired. Clair also liked to go to the Pool Hall in Boissevain and play pool. Clair moved to Westview Lodge in Boissevain in 1983, after his Father passed away. He resided there until 2008, when he moved to the Personal Care Home in Killarney. Clair especially loved going to activities and on any trip in the handi-van. He had his one spot he wanted to sit at when he went to activities, and really like listening to music. Clair was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Eva, his Sister Audrey Rivest, brothers-in-law Pat Rivest and Leonard Tait. Clair is survived by his Sister Marjorie Tait and numerous nieces and nephews. A public graveside service will be held in Boissevain Cemetery on December 17th at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Fr. Peter van der Leelie will officiate the service.
