BURNETT: Mr. James Phair Burnett, beloved husband of Dorien, passed away at the Melita Personal Care Home on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the age of 77. Jim is survived by his wife of 51 years Dorien; five children: Bonnie, Robert, Darlene, Doug and Robin; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; two sisters: Isabel Cook and Elsie Roux. He was predeceased by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Jack and Emma (Phair) Burnett and other extended family members. A private family memorial service took place at the Redpath Funeral Home, Melita on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Allan Gairns of Victoria United Church officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 824-18th Street, Unit 3, Brandon, MB. R7A 5B7, The Alzheimer’s Society of MB., 4B - 457-9th Street, Brandon, MB. R7A 4A9 or to the charity of one's choice.
