KACHAN: Lois “Ellen” (nee Ackroyd) September 28, 1945 - March 28, 2013. Ellen Kachan beloved wife of John of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the age of 67 years. Ellen was born in Brandon, MB on September 28, 1945. She married John on August 19, 1967. Besides her loving husband John, Ellen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Terry McNeill; two grandchildren Jared and Cayley; mother Margaret Ackroyd; siblings Jack (Maureen) Ackroyd, Gregory (Sheri) Ackroyd, Susan Slawson, Brian (Jackie) Ackroyd; and nieces and nephews, Stacey, Brianne, Cari, Connor, Regan, Donna, Melvin; and Sandra. She was predeceased by her father Brant Ackroyd. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E. Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
