ANDREWS: The Great Robert William Andrews, retired Sgt. of 3rd RCHA, loving husband of Evelyn (nee Walker) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2013. Bob was born in Ashmore, NS on August 20, 1937. Predeceased by parents Benjamin and Goldie Andrews and brother Charles and daughter Kenda Langille. He will be sadly missed by a huge community as he touched many lives. Bob was a very active member of Grand Valley Community Church. Bob walked in the steps of Jesus as he gave of his time and love to many. He was involved and passionate serving many ethnic groups by providing and delivering donated household and furniture items. He is known as “Mr. Bob” as he befriended many of them and they were a part of his family. Dad travelled many miles to spend time with family as we are scattered across Canada. He cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren as this would be a reflection of his legacy. He was involved in the Scottish Society and spent many a summer travelling to Nova Scotia with Evelyn to spend time with relatives and research our ancestry and heritage. He shared his knowledge with us in order that we could be proud of where we came from. He loved the beauty of nature and the view of the ocean. He was involved in the Bluebird society and enjoyed the peacefulness of setting up and maintaining the nests. He is survived by his sisters Gert (Kip) Vidito and Mickey Robichaud; children Kathy (Dennis) Darvill, Ben (Sue) Andrews, Bruce (Meg) Andrews, Christie (Jim) Netzlaw, Jennifer (Randy) Levett, Bill (Terri) Lyon; grandchildren Mitch (Erica) Darvill, Rachelle (Graham) Kardynal, Jade (Chaz) Andrews, Christopher and Konor Andrews, Stirling, Gabriel and Graham Netzlaw, Stephanie and Kelsea-Rae Hannaberry, Melissa, Amanda and Mallory Crossman, Taylor, Brittney and Tanner Lyon; great grandchildren Aylah and Ethan Kardynal, Rylee Hannaberry, as well as many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service took place at McDiarmid Drive Alliance Church on Monday, April 22, 2013. Rev. Tim Clarke officiated. Interment was at the Brandon Cemetery.
