ESSIE: Rufus Nelson Essie, “Akicita Hokoida” of Sioux Valley, passed away suddenly at his residence on Sunday May 5th, 2013 at the age of 65 years. Rufus will be lovingly remembered by his stepfather Albert Taylor, siblings Gloria Wasicuna, Albert Jr., Fraser (Mae), Nadine (Kevin) Taylor and Pamela (Louie) Bunn as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rufus was predeceased by his mother Cecelia Taylor and father Lloyd Williams. Traditional Wake will be held at the Sioux Valley Veterans Memorial Hall on Friday, May 10th, 2013 commencing at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Hall on Saturday, May 11th, 2013 at 2:00 pm with interment to follow in the Sioux Valley Catholic Cemetery.
