LUEDER: Klaus Lueder of Brandon, Manitoba passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 12, 2013. Klaus was born May 13, 1934 in Stargard, Germany. He worked in the coal mine and then at hydro while living in Germany. In 1968, he decided to move to Canada and start a new life with his young family. Once they were in Canada, he worked as a bricklayers helper and a tile setters helper. Klaus was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved working in his garden. When he had his drivers license, he loved to take the kids to the beach for fishing. Klaus is survived by his sisters Gretchen, Lola (Bill), Margot and Jutta; brother Jurgen (Helga); son Guenter (Jolene) and their children Max, Darwin, Anthony and Sabrina; daughter Marina (David) and their son Paul; son Dieter (Elizabeth) and their daughter Kathleen; son Peter (Jolayne) and their children Brittany, Ryan, Sophie, Christopher and Tia Marie; daughter Angelika and her children Brennon and Chaelynn; and great grandchildren Brayden, Grayson, Caley, Alexis and Justice. Klaus was predeceased by his wife Rita, daughter Ilona, brothers Horst, Kurt and Adolf, sister Christel and grandchildren Gabriel and Abigail. The Funeral Service to Celebrate Klaus Life was held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Mr. Jamie Berry officiating. Interment followed at the Brandon Cemetery. Pallbearers were Guenter Lueder, Peter Lueder, Ryan Lueder, Paul Mein, Gord Hagstrom (Fatso) and Jim OHalloran. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Klaus may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9.
