FLETCHER: It is with profound sadness that the family of Margaret Ellen Fletcher announces her passing at Fairview Home, Brandon, on May 9th, 2013 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by her husband George, parents George and Margaret Leach, son- in-law Gordon Melvin, step granddaughter Sharon Bailey, nephew Greg Fletcher, three sisters-in-law; Eva(Basil) Miller, Daisy (Les) Caney, Edna(Everette) Moore, Four brothers-in-law, Earle Fletcher, Frank Fletcher, Frank Tamblyn, and Grant Hoggarth. Ellen is survived by her children, Arlyn (Gloria) Fletcher, Lyleton, MB, Dave (Bonnie) Fletcher, Brandon, MB, Shirley (Ted) Lamport) Lake Francis, MB, Elna Melvin, Webb, SK, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and nine step great grandchildren, sister Jean Fletcher of Melita, three sisters-in-law, Marjorie Tamblyn, May Fletcher, and Doreen Hoggarth. A funeral service was held at Lyleton United Church, Lyleton, MB on May 13, 2013 with Rev Heather Sandilands officiating. The Pallbearers were Reg Phillipson, Wayne Tingey, Clair Clark, Neil Murray, Murray Cameron, and Curtis Clark. The interment took place at the Lyleton Cemetery. Ellen was born and raised at Lyleton, MB. She married George Fletcher of Coultervale, MB, on July 8th, 1944. where they farmed in the Lyleton area, and raised their children, until retiring to Melita, MB in 1973, where Ellen remained until 2007 when she became a resident of Fairview Home in Brandon, MB. until her passing. Ellen will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. In her memory, memorial donations may be made to the Lyleton Cemetery Fund, Lyleton United Church, General Delivery Lyleton, MB, R0M 1G0, or a charity of your choice. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath Funeral Home, Melita.
