HOLDEN: The death of Hazel Georgina Holden (nee Brown), age 89, widow of Alvin Marmion Nelson Holden, occurred on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. She was born at Shoal Lake, Manitoba on November 4, 1923. Hazel and Alvin were married on October 1, 1942 and spent their lifetime caring and sharing with their family. She loved to cook and feed anyone she could. Hazel worked as a cook for BMHC for twenty years. After retiring, she did odd jobs like cleaning at the Centennial Auditorium. She loved making quilts, doing crafts and playing cards. Hazel is survived by her only daughter Sharon Stephenson (Clyde); grandchildren Chris, Jason and Jennifer Leigh and great-granddaughter Kayla Hopkins. Three sisters Phyllis Crawford, Faith Cristall and Alice Laronde also survive. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Alvin Holden on December 5, 2003. No ceremony will be held.
