HEIDE: Arthur Glenn “Art” Heide of Douglas passed away suddenly in Brandon on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Art enjoyed playing bridge, poker and watching NASCAR racing. He was also an avid motorcycle enthusiast. During his years in Douglas, he was an active member of the Sprucewoods Community Club. Art is survived by his family: daughter, Cynthia (Wayne) Kelly and grandchildren, Renna and Sean; son Nick (Miranda) and grandchildren, Adrian and Blaine. He also leaves his mother, Anne Shadforth and two brothers, John (Sheila) and Ken (Gloria). There are numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Art was predeceased by his father, Henry and two sisters, Elaine and Sandra. A Celebration of Art’s Life will be held at Memories Chapel on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 11:00 am. Arlene Robertson will officiate. A private interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
