KUCH: Bill Kuch was born on Feb. 3 1936 at Marco, MB. He died peacefully on June 14 2013 at the Russell and District Health Centre in Palliative Care. Bill is remembered by his brother Paul (Marlene) Kuch and his sister-in-law Mary Kuch and one nephew and three nieces. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Mary Kuch, brothers Sam, John and brother Stephen in infancy. Bill farmed in the Birtle area for many years with his brother Sam. He was a good neighbour, a loyal friend and was well respected. He will be remembered for his hospitality and kindness. He was a true gentleman. Special thanks to Dr. Pieterse, the nursing staff at the Russell and District Health Centre and to the Birtle Transitional Care Unit staff for their compassionate care of Bill. Thanks also to the Dr. Bashir and the Brandon Cancer Care Centre for their professional guidance. Heartfelt appreciation to Charles Bertram, Gloria Fleury, Edmore Thomas and Barry Fleury for their support and friendship to Bill and the Kuch family. The funeral service was held on Tuesday June 18 2013 at 11:00 am from St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Birtle with Father Mykhaylo Khomitskyy officiating. Interment followed in St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Shoal Lake, MB. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Birtle Palliative Care or the Russell Palliative Care SunRoom project. Braendle Bruce Funeral Service of Russell was in care of the arrangements.
