FRASER: Muriel Violet Mae Fraser, sister to Cecil Coleman of Virden, Manitoba, Peg Andruchow of Edmonton, Alberta and Merle Hall of Ontario, passed away peacefully at her residence, Valleyview Care Centre, on Monday, July 15, 2013 at the age of 89 years. Muriel was born in Virden, Manitoba but spent most of her life in Brandon. She married Harry “Hap” Fraser on February 12, 1945. Hap and Muriel built an IGA grocery store on Victoria Avenue West. They operated the store until Hap’s retirement in 1972. Muriel attended church at Central United, and volunteered at the RCAF, she was also an avid golfer. A graveside service to honour Muriel’s life will be held at Rosewood Memorial Gardens on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Laird Russell-Yearwood of Central United Church officiating. Donations in memory of Muriel may be made to Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2B3.
