KYLE: Christeina Isabel Kyle 1922-1913. Chrissie Kyle (nee Cameron) passed away in Brandon on Saturday, July 20, 2013. Predeceased by Carman in 2009, her husband of 61 years, she is survived by four children Harvey (Barb), Marie, Joanne MacAulay (Dwight) and Janice along with grandchildren Cameron MacAulay (Stefanie) and Devin MacAulay (Carly); Lee Kyle; Carissa, Colin, Jay Dee and Wade Kyle-Ottenson and Scott Kyle and Nicole Fordyce (Brett).  A niece and many nephews also survive her. Chrissie spent virtually all of her adult life, and clearly the happiest years of the life, on the family farm near Minto until she and Carman retired to Brandon thirty years ago. She always had a warm smile and a fresh coffee for anyone who might drop by for a visit, and ‘always’ cooked extra in case someone wanted to stay for supper. An ardent square-dancer (for decades) she loved meeting people and making new friends - but none were closer, kinder or dearer to her than her friends and neighbors Mervin, Shirley, Maggie and Jason, who were always close by and ready to help whenever she needed a hand. In quiet times Chrissie loved to watch baseball on TV, especially when her favorite teams, the Blue Jays and the Goldeyes, were playing.  And like a lot of people in rural Manitoba she was a huge curling fan especially when the Brier or the Scott Tournament of Hearts would be on. Above all else she loved being with her family; having big meals; and ending the evening with a game of cards (which she usually won). She also treasured the times when she could watch the grandchildren play hockey or soccer or take part in dance recitals, and always tried to be there when graduations and special events were being held. A funeral was held in Boissevain with Reverend Douglas Craig officiating on July 26, 2013. Pallbearers were Cameron MacAulay, Devin MacAulay, Lee Peacock, Colin Kyle-Ottenson, Jaydee Kyle-Ottenson and Scott Kyle. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the charity of your choice in Chrissie’s memory.
