BEREHULKA: Edward Eddy Berehulka passed away in Edmonton, Alberta May 28, 2013 at the age of 70. Ed was born October 29th, 1942 in Shoal Lake, Manitoba. He lived in Rossburn & Birtle for a number of years then moved to Brandon Manitoba at the age of 14. In Brandon he was employed as a painter alongside his father Steve with Jacobson and Greiner, and worked on many projects throughout Brandon. Ed Married Mabel Ramsay (Starzyk) and had two children, Kelly in 1970 and Christina in 1973. After divorcing Ed moved to Edmonton in the early 1980s where he moved to his 151st apartment where his mother Pauline also lived. Shortly after moving to the apartment Ed became caretaking and was until his passing. Ed loved building, painting, working in the yard and doing various projects in maintaining the apartment block. He loved music, and telling stories of growing up around the Rossburn area. In recent years, he donated alot of his time to a local food kitchen by shoveling snow, making morning coffee and donating his time to help in any way he could. Ed made many friends over his 30 years in Edmonton and was very helpful and compassionate to his friends and those in need. Ed is predeceased by his father Stephen, Mother Pauline, Sister Sonia and brother-in-law Al Seiben. He is survived by his children Kelly (Winnipeg, MB), Christina (Kevin) (Brandon, MB) Sister Phyllis (Edmonton, AB) and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins as well as many friends in Edmonton that he also called family. Ed will be laid to rest in Rossburn Manitoba alongside his mother, father, grandparents, aunts and uncles. Graveside memorial held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Ukrainian Catholic Cemetary, Saturday August 24th 2013 at 1:00 pm. Lunch to follow at the Rossburn Town Hall. If you wish to honour Ed we ask you do so in a kind deed for someone and by sharing your love and memories of him with each other. Well Miss You Dad.
