BRITSKY: Rae Murray Britsky, 56, died unexpectedly on September 8th, 2013 in Calgary, Alberta. He was born to Leon and Doris Britsky on November 26th, 1956 in Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba. Rae spent the majority of his life working on the family farm in Ochre River as a young boy and then later raising his own children on his beloved farm. In 1995, Rae began a career as a truck driver. He spent many years working for Portage Transport where his work provided him the opportunity to see many interesting places across Canada and the United States. Along his travels, Rae made many lasting friendships. He had recently moved to Calgary to work with his brother, Donald at Double Diamond Contracting. Working in Alberta allowed Rae to spend more time with his grandchildren, Rylee and Konnor. He loved spending time with them and bringing them treasures from his travels. Rae had an enormous heart and spent much of his free time helping friends and family. Rae was predeceased by his parents, Leon and Doris Britsky, his brother-in-law, Merrill Sizer and his nephew, Tyson Britsky. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by many. Rae is survived by his daughter Amber Britsky, son-in-law Joel LHeureux; his son Travis Britsky, daughter-in-law Kalyn Ashbacher and grandchildren Rylee and Konnor; older brother Jack Britsky and sister-in-law Debbie Britsky; sister Darlene Sizer; younger brother Donald Britsky, and many nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends who were near and dear to Rae. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A Celebration of Life ceremony for Rae will be held on Saturday, October 26th at 2:00 pm at the Makinak Hall.
